ParaCOACH is owned and operated by professional public sector recruiters and educators. With over 40 years of experience in the public sector and emergency services, we provide career coaching and small business consultation services to increase individuals and small businesses confidence and capability.
We support and develop the careers of defence, emergency services, health, aged care and disability sectors with the majority of our clients being employees from the not for profit, Australian government and NSW government public sectors.
Our small business services focus on organisational development, talent acquisition and business coaching for small businesses that are looking to scale.
Eddie Freitas stands out as one of Australia's most dedicated career coaches. He has occupied director-level roles in public sector recruitment, learning and capability, as well as education and training.
As the director and leading career consultant and trainer at ParaCOACH, Eddie has guided numerous clients towards achieving their career aspirations, ranging from police officers, paramedics, firefighters, and military veterans to accountants, lawyers, disability support workers, educators, and academics, among others.
Among all the boards and committees Eddie participates in, he takes the most pride in his membership with the State Insurance Regulatory Authority (SIRA) Reference Group. This group, which includes business leaders, recovery at work experts, and individuals with personal experience in workplace mental health recovery, allows SIRA to draw on these experiences and the group's expertise to ensure that such personal insights are integral to the development of mental health initiatives.
Eddie's background includes frontline operational roles as a Nursing Officer in the Royal Australian Air Force and as an Intensive Care Paramedic for NSW Ambulance, boasting over two decades of direct experience in addressing the consequences of occupational hazards and injuries through frontline service.
Eddie holds a variety of graduate, postgraduate, and professional honours qualifications in nursing, paramedicine, and education. His LinkedIn profile is available for viewing.
Eddie recently had the honour of delivering the keynote speech at the University of Tasmania (UTAS) Graduation held at the International Convention Centre. Having completed numerous qualifications with UTAS, he felt deeply humbled by the opportunity to inspire the graduating students. This experience will forever remain one of great importance in his life.
